Again in 2012, there seems to be some rumors that suggest that Apple might have plans to launch the new iPod Touch 4 with a updated look and back camera to complement the two most known features of iPhone 4 i.e. FaceTime video calls and the HD video recording. The current, realistic I might add, speculation concerns the iPod Touch 3 having a 3.2 MP camera (just like the iPhone 3gs). Now you may ask, “well why not an iPhone 4 like camera?” The issue here in-lies in the size of the iPod Touch Model. If Apple keeps their current size and style, which in my opinion is getting a bit old, then there is almost no chance that the new iPod touch will contain any camera over 3.2 MP.

But Apple also likes to ensure that the iPod Touch is an obvious step down from the iPhone. Giving it both cameras found on the iPhone 4 and some other rumored features, such as an accelerometer and gyroscope — along with the updated look to make it too nice (which is presumably a sure thing)

Now, we cannot abandon the reasoning that technology has advanced considerably in the past year or so; and maybe Apple has found a way to fit a smaller camera in the same old housing.

Personally, I hope for a brand new, remastered device.
